Rachel LoveridgeI am an ex-international
rower, having begun rowing at University of Bristol and continued at both
Thames RC and Leander, all of which I owe a huge amount. In my past lives I have been both a swimming and windsurfing
teacher (and some other far more bizarre jobs) so have a great love of the water, either in or on it. I will be based
on the island of Gadhdhoo in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll where rowing has already been
established on the island of Thinadoo and working there from March until
November this year.
What I am looking forward to most ..... getting people into a sport I love as well as the amazing marine life (and sunshine)! What I will miss most ......... my brilliant nieces and nephew who I have been living with recently and perhaps as much Crunchy Nut Cornflakes. Tash HowardI am a World Bronze Medallist
and rowed in the W8 at the Beijing Olympics. I began rowing at The University
of East Anglia continuing at Tideway Scullers. I have coached rowing to all
ages and abilities since 2004. I will be heading out to the Maldives in June
when more boats arrive and will be based on the island of Hulhumeedho in Addu
Atoll – the southernmost tip of the island chain., where I will be the first coach there.
What I am looking forward to most ..... the challenge this project entails and the three times daily diet of fish. What I will miss most ......... food other than fish three times a day! Contact me email: fruitbat47*at*hotmail.com |
